Fate The Winx Saga returns with a second season where the students return for their second year, still mourning Farah Dowling, Eve Best's character.

Netflix canceled all episodes of the second season on September 16. And when the students return, they find themselves under Rosalind's strict rule.

At the end of the first season, Rosalind is released from stasis because Farrah, the headmistress, knew she was in trouble. Rosalind seemingly killed Farah, fighting against her in an explosive finale, and began to take over Alfea. The new Rosalind has a different look, although she was originally recognized by her blonde ponytail and sharp features.

Although Leslie Sharpe only appeared at the end of the first outing, Miranda Richardson took over with a cropped haircut.

Season 2 of Fate The Winx Saga was filmed from July to November 21, but it wasn't until July 22 that the cast was announced.

Why Rosalind Leslie, a previous movie star, couldn't continue in Fate Second season of The Winx Saga

The actress was unable to continue since she was working on other projects at the time the scene was being filmed.

She narrates Heaven Made, a BBC One documentary series that provides a behind-the-scenes look at three religious orders across Ireland and England. She has also been busy on stage, playing the title role in Kaye Tempest's Philoctetes in 2021.

So with a lot of work, it may have been difficult to juggle both projects.

Moreover, Leslie would have to devote a lot of time as Rosalind plays a very important role in Season 2 of Fate: The Winx Saga.

Netflix also confirmed that due to Leslie's busy schedule, she will not be able to return for Season 2 as the filming dates will not work for her.

Rosalind in Miranda's second season

The 64-year-old Miranda is also well-known for playing Rita Skeeter in the Damage, Orlando, and Harry Potter movies.

After playing Madame Tracy in Good Omens, her last television role was in The Winx Saga Fate.

The Wizard's Elephant, Miranda's upcoming film, is currently casting a part. She performed as Aunt Clarice's voice actress on The House.

In addition to Rosalind's character, Terry's father, Ben Harvey, was also recast for Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2.
