Drew Barrymore kicks off the new season of her titular talk show with a blast from the past. The actress will bring one of her famous exes, Justin Long, to The Drew Barrymore Show for an emotional reunion featured in the season 3 premiere.

While we haven't seen the new episode yet, we did get a glimpse of a tearful moment between the former couple in a clip shared by The Drew Barrymore Show's Twitter account this morning.

The short video, just under one minute long, teases what is sure to be one juicy episode. The clip opens with Barrymore and Long embracing before she pulls away and wipes tears from her face.

"I feel like we've been through so much together," she tells Long in the clip. "When we talked and used FaceTime, I was always like, 'You know, I've really grown up, Justin.' I always wanted to prove to you that I was a different person than when we met."

Long assures her, “You were the best,” before Barrymore continues, “We had so much fun, but we were more hedonistic. A little more immature. We were getting together, then we were breaking up. It was chaos. It was pretty damn fun."

Long agrees, telling her, "Cheerful mayhem, yeah - most hedonism is fun."

Their conversation took place more than a decade after Barrymore and Long first met. According to Us Weekly , the actors, who starred together in 2009's He's Just Not That Into You and 2010's Closing the Distance , began dating in 2007, broke up a year later and briefly rekindled their romance before getting back together to finish

While Long's visit to The Drew Barrymore Show is already generating interest ahead of the season premiere, he's not the only ex-girlfriend Barrymore has welcomed to her set. In 2020, the talk show host tapped her ex-husband Tom Green to join her on screen, marking the first conversation or reunion in 15 years.
